Test Practitioner with experience of IT projects and Software Testing since 1997 working either Permanently, or as a Contractor/Consultant.
 

Test Management, Supervisory, Test Leading experience. Developing, reviewing, and implementing Test Process Improvements to Test Policies, Strategies and Test Processes.
 

Planning, executing and leading System, User Acceptance and Regression Testing on small to large projects on a Risk Basis, via In-house, COTS, or Maintenance deliveries.
 

Production of these key responsibilities and deliverables:

  • Test Planning documents including Test Strategy, Test Approach & Test Plans
  • Test Specification documents including Test Matrix & Test Scripts
  • Test Execution documents including Test Scripts & Defect Reports
  • Test Reporting documents including regular Management reporting, Test Exit & Lessons Learnt Reports.

Broad knowledge and experience of Systems Development Lifecycle and Test Methodologies: 

  • Waterfall & V Model
  • Agile; Kanban & Scrum
  • Functional Testing Test Techniques
  • Non-Functional Testing, including Accessibility, Disaster Recovery & Performance Testing.

Use of test tools for planning and execution of tests, defect, or bug management:

  • HP Application Life Management (ALM), Quality Center (QC) & Test Director
  • Microsoft Azure Dev Ops (ADO) & Team Foundation Server (TFS)
  • SQL Server & TOAD
  • JIRA & X-ray plug in

Experienced in testing a wide range of In-House, Software House developments, or COTS applications, across Web, Client Server, and Mainframe platforms, including: 

  • Pensions/Life Assurance/Group Risk – ELIXIR, ALIS & P142
  • Mortgage – SAM & SUMMIT
  • Banking – Proteo4UK
  • Finance - SAP & Unit4 Business World (Agresso)
  • Gambling - Symphony & Gem Enterprise
